This pack does not include Cynder or Jet-Vac. A "Portal Owner's Pack" is also available, which does not contain the Portal of Power and is meant for those who already have one from Spyro's Adventure. In the brand new console Starter Pack, the player gets three Skylanders ( Tree Rex, Jet-Vac, and a Series 2 Cynder), a Portal of Power, Trading Cards, a Poster, and the game itself. The theme music from the previous game was again provided by Academy Award Winning film composer Hans Zimmer, whilst a new orchestral score was produced by the returning composer, Lorne Balfe. Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow returned to help write the story. However, Frightbeard found a way out and is on his way back to free his crew and wreck havoc on all of Skylands. 10,000 years ago, the Arkeyans locked away Captain Frightbeard and his crew in the chest, with his sword acting as a lock. The Portal Master, along with Flynn, Hugo, and others along the way, race Captain Frightbeard, the villain of the 3DS version, to the Chest of Exile. With a new threat looming, they are summoned back to join forces with the Skylanders. The game also has a new and improved battle mode, including new play areas and options, as well as a variety of new Skylanders.Thousands of years ago, the Giants fought battles in Skylands but were banished to Earth. A series of figurines called “LightCore” has also been introduced in the game, which will glow when posted to “Portal of Power” or have a flash bomb attack during battles.
Players will have to connect physical toy models to the game console through the “Portal of Power”, which makes any toy used can create a corresponding character in the game. Especially in this version also introduces players to 16 new characters, including giant characters with towers nearly more than twice the size of the towers from previous “Skylanders” versions. Based on the fundamentals of the first games, the game brings together physical toy model lines with a world of video games. As seen in the title, the game gives players a whole new experience with the “Lager Skylanders” feature known as “Giants”, along with many new gameplay mechanics. “Skylanders Giants” is the next version of the blockbuster game “Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure” from the famous game company Activision.
